Kate Izsak
Digital, Hybrid
Open for commissionsI am a digital and computational process artist whose work combines data, code, collage, digital imaging, and procedural systems to translate complex social experiences into visual form. Since becoming disabled by long COVID in 2020, my work has increasingly examined issues related to disability, memory, identity, and the shifting structures of community. Alongside my artistic practice, I serve as Principal Lecturer and Associate Dean in the College of Information at the University of Maryland, where I teach courses in design, with a focus on computational image design, entertainment design, and electronic literature.
